Loewe was founded in 1846 as a small leather goods workshop in the center of Madrid. The first collection of women’s ready-to-wear launched nearly 100 years later, after Enrique Loewe Roessberg took over in 1872. Now, with Creative Director Jonathan Anderson at the helm, the prominent fashion house is at the forefront of elevated design, with a focus on craftsmanship. Anderson lends a fantasy element to the collections, bringing in unexpected details to everyday silhouettes. Fine leather goods are also a signature of the house.
